I’m Daniel’s father and Joanne’s husband.

I work in computer consulting, where much of my work is data migrations.

My favorite book is (still) Starship Troopers, which I first read when I was 10. While I was reading chapter 1, the Chinook helicopters were flying over my house to hover across the #2 highway to drop soldiers for rappelling training. The military base in the book (Camp Arthur Currie) was the WW2 name for what I knew as Currie Barracks. With that combination of visuals and personal connection the book has remained my all time favorite, with Ender’s Game pulling a close second.
