Can you own parts of Mars?Suppose we are following the law of the seas technically since your spacecraft is considered a vessel you could make the argument that any area on Mars that sustains air pressure and in other words, life support could be claimable. So f I made an underground city on Mars that had life support that would be claimable. Or any land that is part of a colony however, anything outside the immediate vicinity of a colony would be hard to enforce your claim on. Any war on Mars may seem futile since you and your enemy have the equivalent of nukes, which is a loss of air pressure. Even the smallest of weapons on Mars could become the deadliest if they are used to breach the life support systems of another habitat. So declaring war on another colony and attacking it would be a lose-lose battle. So in the immediate future of Martian colonization I could see the concept of a nation only having authority over the immediate land that its colony’s facilities. Then there would be practically unlimited land for every nation, companies, and people looking for a Mars settlement. Although Mars is smaller than Earth if you took all the land on Earth excluding the ocean you would have the same amount of land. My bigger intrigue is what will happen in the terraform Mars effort. Since in the process of terraforming Mars, you will flood a lot of planes and lead to the possible destruction of colonies.

I would build an extremely thin shade massive shade made out of material from Mercury. This shade would be as thin as a blood cell. Then I would build another one behind Venus to reflect light back to the shade since the shade would act like a massive solar sail and crash into Venus. The shade would cool Venus down significantly so much so that the Co2 atmosphere would turn into dry ice from the intense cold like we see on Mars’s Surface. Then I would have a supermassive accelerator built that leads from the surface of Venus into space. I would build it out of Graphene since it is lightweight and durable. The Dry ice would be placed on it and then slingshot on a trajectory to Mars where the intense heat of re entry would evaporate it into Mars’ atmosphere.

Then Saturn and it’s unique moons and rings of dust and ice. Following that I would want to explore the moons of Neptune which is one of the least explored places in the solar system. I would continue to visit everywhere on our solar system, but these are just a few places I would visit first.

It does have computer guidance capabilities however personally I have ran into a few issues with it so I usually just use it’s finder laser and use it’s motors to move it. I am considering building potentially a higher aperture telescope in the future.

I have bad news @katejackson , the James Webb Space Telescope is delayed now from October 31st to December 18th. They were having some rocket issues.

The main idea behind atmospheric colonization of Venus is it has remained relatively unexplored except for the Venus weather balloons launched by the Vanera probes. Having a human presence can help with science research and making it significantly easier and faster to conduct experiments. Venus recently had a detection of phosphine gas in it’s atmosphere which has lead to the announcement of 3 missions there. In terms of cabin fever, I believe NASA has had an excellent job in selecting astronauts who are immune to this. Otherwise Scott Kelly would have come back a madman from his year in space. Also if humans are on 3 planets extinction risk would drop dramatically.

Very interesting! Also something interesting to know is if you purchase a used Tesla sometimes as a benefit you can get free supercharging with your car.
