Hello members! There are a number of exciting things we are planning for The Network. Below is a list of features and improvements we currently have planned. This is a dynamic list, the dates are estimates, and items are regularly added/updated so check back here for the latest news.

Platform Launch - Complete!
A huge effort has gone into developing The Network platform. On launch we have a number of features including Community Groups, Timeline, Live Events with bookings, Zoom integrations, the Learning Hub and more! With this initial feature set we hope it will enable the community to chat, share, collaborate and learn, as well as provide a solid foundation for further enhancements!
Gamification
Stage 1 of Gamification is complete. You will notice you will now earn gems for certain actions as well as points for posts, hosting Live Events, and contributions to the Learning Hub (see Leaderboard and Achievements pages). Ongoing enhancements and extensions will be made to this initial framework as time goes on.
Mobile Apps
The Network Mobile Apps for both Apple and Android are now complete! This is another big milestone for The Network and we hope you enjoy the first version releases 😊
Notification Improvements
Improvements are being made for two notification methods. 1. Web push notifications meaning notifications you get from The Network appear as a slide in "glimpse" notification that appear on screen and can be dismissed. 2) Desktop push notifications, allowing notifications from The Network to be displayed in the browser even when the website is not loaded on screen.
Performance API Caching
The desktop platform is getting a new API caching layer which should provide noticeable user performance improvements.
Video Uploading
With this feature release we will support uploading of raw video files into activity feeds, groups, messages, forum replies, and documents. The uploaded video files will be compressed and then viewable as playable videos.
Online Store
Expertly recommended, carefully curated! The Network online store will be the ultimate store for parents, students, educators and new schools. Organised and curated by Dr Kate Jackson and hand picked exclusive education experts The Network store will be sure to impress!
Exclusive Classes
Dr Kate Jackson has hand picked a handful of leading education industry experts to deliver exclusive content to members of The Network.
Direct Message Live Loading
The direct messenger on the desktop platform is planned to update in real time, similar to iMessage and WhatsApp. This will make the messenger more responsive and enjoyable to use.
Learning Pods
We are really excited about Learning Pods! They will be Co-Op style learning groups with both curated and member created live and on demand sessions with their very own Learning Hub. Watch this space for more details and updates.

Truly exciting! As someone who speaks on a variety of educational topics, I haven’t yet created a place to store all my “stuff,” for people to access. I’m hoping that The Network is the answer to my question, “How can I get my content “out there” to people who want it?

This is an exciting way to run a community of educators. I’m already thinking of how I can contribute to the Learning Hub. Maybe how to use D&D and other role-playing tabletop games for language acquisition? Just an excuse to play more D&D? Maybe! 😀
