That is very helpful, thank you! I had been trying to find a 4H group in our area but it doesn’t appear we have one. The Lego League I had never heard of. Hopefully we can do something like that!

We don’t have our own garden (yet), but the kids will be joining a community garden soon and hopefully I can share some photos!

I had recently shown my kids about the rock cycle and it was fun to see them process the fact that all of this “stuff” is just moved around and transformed. Maybe showing kids through books, videos, documentaries and outdoor exploration will help them understanding soil and nature better. When kids understand things, they seem to grow a sort of a connection to it. Do kids not care about what’s underneath their feet because they don’t know how complex it is and how it impacts them?

I wouldn’t regard myself as a naturally good singer, so I found this video very interesting. I like how he talked about how lower notes require different singing actions versus higher notes. Building the “muscle memory“ to become better in singing in any style is something I had never heard before. And in this way it makes sense. When I was learning to play woodwinds as a young person, I remember my mouth hurting a lot when I first started. Many years later, I could play and it never bothered me. It’s interesting to think about singing in this way. Thanks for sharing!
