About Me

I am really excited to be part of the network!

I have jumped around a little from public, to charter, to now a micro-school. I love trying new things in teaching, failing miserably, then adjusting my strategy.

I am a big advocate for personalized learning with student autonomy as a guiding force for learning. I try to balance learning with meaningful experiences to help them grow academically as well as build character and virtue. Are currently using the socratic method, as well as an apprenticeship based learning through the company BookClub.

Hope to get connected with other teachers to bounce ideas and learn from each other.
Hobbies & Interests

I grew up playing any sport I could get my hands on. I currently find myself playing tennis, pickleball, basketball, and ping pong the most.

I also enjoy the down hill thrills of mountain biking and snowboarding.

On the cold winter nights in Utah you’ll find me crocheting a hat, sewing a quilt, or baking all the comfort foods.

Lastly, I love playing mediocre piano duets with my mom and coercing my friends to sing along as I play the guitar.
