Hi Ryan
I agree with the stimulants part as continuous intake of sugary products induce the reward system with uncontrolled dopamine levels causing us to crave and long for it. So health & Nutrition are essential part of overall wellbeing. It is during meditation another neurotransmitter seratonin is released and which calms and provides clarity of mind. so to me, if we start to look at things from the root of it we can find the right solutions to it. Here is a ted ed video on how sugar affects the reward system.

Yes Wimhoff proved our body can withstand extreme conditions through his meditation and icebath techniques. I have not done any ice bath yet. I use wimhoff method only before underwater swimming where I can hold breath for a longer period of time than usual.
Just curious what subjects do you take and for what age students. If I come across something relevant to you then i can share it across.

Hi Kate
I have the pdf copy of ” TRANSCEND™: Nine Steps to Living Well Forever”, Ray Kurzweil and Terry Grossman, M.D.” but the file is about 7.8 mb. Max capacity to upload in the forum is 6 mb. Is there any way I can upload the file for the benefit of members.

Hi Ryan
As @sameervishwanathan mentioned, Vipassana meditation is really a good meditation practice.. I have gone for their 10 day course while I was in singapore. Truly a good one. It improves the focus and clarity of thoughts if followed diligently.
As for kids you mentioned they cannot focus beyond 3 minutes.. so I think start with the bite size time and slowly ramp up… Everytime have a conversation after how they feel about it.
Another breathing technique is Wimhoff method which also provides key improvement in concentration and overall well being. I have shared a youtube video of how it is being done for your reference.

Hope this helps you in some way.

Hi Jennifer
Thanks for your inputs. I will definitely take note of all the valuable points and incorporate in my interaction with my Son.
Coming back to Right Brain education, it is a targeted approach in putting right side of the brain to good use in the early years when it is at its max performance. In US, Glenn Doman has pioneered this method, Tweedle wink is also another right brain educator in US. These right brain schools has been propogated in Asia by Shichida and Heguru( both from Japan). Parents need to present with children in the whole teaching process. Youtube video of how it is done at a heguru facility in singapore is attached for your reference.

Also I have attached a Right brain education manual. Definitely this method has been a buzz in this part of the world. If there are curriculum developers or educational technologist in this forum who can create curriculum understanding from the first principles of right brain and spread across it will be great for people under 5 years of age.
