I’m so excited to join the network. My son has inspired me to find out more about learning, motivation, and discovering your passion and life goals. I was formerly an early years teacher for a Montessori school but life happened, and I had to switch to a different career! Before that, I had been teaching for 10 years in early childhood art, play and English. I also have a background in International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program, which I have not had the opportunity to practice.

My son goes to a Chinese/English Bilingual School – very traditional Chinese-style education. However, I feel that it does not fulfill his needs as a learner. This is why I have a homeschooling Montessori-inspired set up at home. I let him stay home from school once a week so we can work on some topics he is interested in – trains, cars, rockets, robots!

I’m hoping I can discover creative activities from the network to cultivate his interests!
