It really highlights the limitations of our technology and knowledge when you realise that we may not even have found everything of significance in our own solar system yet – and that those “unfound” objects may include something as big as a planet several times the size of Earth… “Bowie” sounds like a cool name, btw – “Planet 9” sounds more like a name for a groovy bar or something. ????

Variations of the Pie Floater include a meat pie with tomato sauce “floating” in a bowl of pea soup, on mashed peas or can of whole peas complete with the liquid. They’re actually not as disgusting as they look! ????

Interesting… however I think small, localised magnetic shields around habitats is probably more likely & practical in the shorter term, rather than something that is planet wide. This also still doesn’t solve the problem of cosmic rays coming in from space randomly (not just from the direction of the sun)…
