I am an educator who devotes my time to getting to know children and acting as a guide by providing trainings tailored to their specific needs. My observations of Montessori education system children, whom I met during my university years, enabled me to conduct additional research in this area. I am a Montessori teacher for children aged 3-6 and 6-12. Throughout my career, I have worked at all levels in Montessori environments, from 1 to 10 years old, from Turkey to Oxford to New York. I am currently work at a Montessori Elementary School in Brooklyn.

The Montessori way of thinking has always appealed to me. Maria Montessori supported using stories to demonstrate elementary-aged children the connections between everything in the universe. Show them the big picture of the universe first, and then give them a specific piece of knowledge to figure out. Knowing about the cosmos allows children to notice how all areas of science are interconnected as they advance through the curriculum from general to specific, and therefore see the universe’s center of gravity.

Whoever touches the life of a child, touches the most sensitive part of a whole which has roots in the most distant past and climbs toward the infinite future.
