Mission Cube Update
Great news! I was successfully able to get my CubeSat mock-up to rotate using earths magnetic field!
https://youtube.com/shorts/9wC5gs9mH5A?feature=share Also I am changing the design from a 1U to 3U to allow it too be more capable. I am planning to fly it‘s components to near space this June aboard a weather balloon. I am planning on flying it on a 1500 gram weather balloon I am hoping to reach 130,000feet in altitude. I hope this test will verify some of it components to be flight ready. In the mean time I am going through some regulatory work to ensure the FAA will allow me to fly by weather balloon.
In additional news, my school kicked my CubeSat project out saying “I shouldn’t have so many projects at once” and informed me they would shut it down. In rebellion I formed my project into a 501(c)(3) non profit through fiscal sponsorship by an organization named Hack Club.
Apparently, I heard from a teacher that the school is not pleased with my decision to make a non profit and they are considering having a meeting with all the Club Leaders to deter them from forming a non profit because of me. Apparently, clubs have been making empty threats to form into non profits and the school thought they were bluffing until I was the first to do it lol.
