Best resources for teaching Intro. to Crypto (Y11)?
Posted by Ryan on May 6, 2021 at 1:44 amHi all,
Starting next week, I’m spending a month in my Global Perspectives curriculum to focus on the emergence of Bitcoin/DeFi/Crypto and am looking for some very short, appropriate supporting material that I might use as stepping stones for my students to become engaged in this space. My classes are largely discussion based learning, so this content is really to stimulate conversation.
I’m curious if anyone has favorite vids/articles that they feel would be engaging for such a purpose? In general, I’m taking a macro econ. perspective, but will also explore some technical analysis, level 2 infrastructure, and will consider the implications for fiat/central banking systems/etc.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on ‘required content’ for my class!

I loved this course, it is too long of course to use as a whole, but it has very clear explanations, and also some short discussions of real life examples. https://dutchblockchaincoalition.org/en/de-nationale-blockchain-cursus

Btw this course is mostly about blockchain, so much more than just crypto or bitcoin, which will help with the macro view.

Dear Liz,
Thank you for your suggestion. I haven’t seen this course before but I’ll check it out.
Cheers
